Discovery NotesThis phage was found at 30th Street Station in a garden. The soil was wet and sandy, with the presence of bugs and other organisms. This sample was taken from a hole dug 9 cm down.
Naming NotesThis phage began very small, as a single plaque on the direct sample plaque assay. We were unsure of whether it truly was a phage or not, so it was called a "maybe phage". It wasn't until after we ran a serial dilution that we found it was phage.
