Discovery NotesThe sample was collected from a flower box near Clark Park in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The soil was dry and the soil taken was about 10 cm below the surface.
Naming NotesI chose the name Jumpman for my phage because it is a Myoviridae so it has a contractile tail. The contractile action reminds me of jumping, and my favorite basketball player is Michael Jordan, who's logo is known as the jumpman.
