Discovery NotesThe soil sample was taken from a shady area along a tree line. I sampled below a mulberry tree with lots of decaying fruit on the ground. The soil had high organic content. This sample came from the top 1-2 inches of soil.
Naming NotesMandras is a creature from the Stormlight Archive books. My fiancé and I have loved this series so I named my phage after an element of that story.
