| Discovery Notes | My location of my soil sample was behind my waterfall of my pool beside the tree on the right in Colleyville, Texas, 76034. The soil is moist but somewhat sandy and is lighter in color than most soil samples in the room. It is more red in color as well and has a basic pH because it was found in the suburbs. It was 100 degrees Fahrenheit when I collected my sample. It was collected on August 31, 2010 around 6:00 pm. It was found 4 inches below the ground and it was under tree shade. There was some respiration given off from the soil but not as much as my other soil sample from miracle-gro. |

| Plaque Notes | The plaques were small, only 3mm-1mm. There were 2 sizes a smaller one (.5mm) and a larger one (3mm). They grew at a mild rate and only obliterated the m. smegmatis bacteria at -1 dilution or sometimes -2 dilution plate. The phage was lytic. I experimented with both the small and large plaque and did made two plates. They both came back with small and large. They were very clear and very round. |
