Discovery NotesThe phage was discovered next to a volleyball court, approximately 2.5 centimeters in the ground.
Naming NotesThe name was derived from the fact that on the first round of direct isolation, there was a singular plaque, approximately 1 millimeter in diameter. This plaque was the only one we could pick, and when we created a lysate using that singular plaque, there were many many more. Our phage seemed like a miracle, and so we named in phenomenon to match its remarkable comeback.
