| Discovery Notes | At 7:50 pm on August 20th of 2015 a soil sample was collected from a conference site at Twin Oaks Community in Louisa County, Virginia (located at 37.925528, -77.995080). The site was clear of all obstacles except a few trees, which were roughly 10 feet away. The soil was mildly moist from earlier rainfall. The soil was clear of any man made structures, and collected using a rock as a scraping tool to access the first 3 cm of the topsoil. The only human interaction with the spot was the presence of occasional cleaning crews that worked near by. The nearby nature and lack of human interaction boded well for the chances of isolating a phage. |

| Plaque Notes | It was found that the phages from the tested sample yielded small plaques approximately 2 mm across with a mildly smoky white color and an extremely small black dot in the very center after 24 hours of incubation (this kind of plaque would be consistent throughout the course of the tests). |
