Discovery NotesThe sample was taken from a stagnant backyard pond. The sample was sediment with leaves and twigs mixed into the dirt and water. The sample was taken from approximately 3 cm below the surface of the pond. It was around 75°C at roughly noon when the sample was collected. It was collected right before a rain storm so the sky was cloudy and the air was humid. Vegetation surrounds the pond, but no fish live in it.
