Discovery NotesFound in soil nearby the university community garden. Location was chosen out of curiosity; soil that is near the roots of different types of vegetables may produce phages that are different that ones found in regular soil in the middle of a field, for example.
Naming NotesInitially named Phagémon because of the clever wordplay combo discovered when combining the word "Phage" and "Pokémon", which is the name of a creature in the Japanese cartoon series, "Pokémon". Much like the show, there are several types of phages as there as pokemon.
Edit: Named changed to Zanzibar; name choice of partner for unknown reasons.
