Sample was taken from a swampy, wetland area. It was dug from the mud a few meters away from the waters edge, however even at that distance the soil was saturated with water. The hole was filling up with water as I was digging.
Naming NotesLatin.
Anulus, meaning "ring" and Nox, meaning "night/dark". So a rough translation would be dark ring. It's a very literal description of the plaque morphology that piqued my interest in the phage at the very beginning.
