Discovery NotesSample was collected on 2/8/17. Weather was clear and the temperature was 57 degrees Fahrenheit. Soil was collected from the an area surrounding the root base of a shrub. The shrub was located in a flower bed which was also covered in a mixture of dead leaves and decomposing matter. Also present near the base of the shrub were small ground-covering plants/weeds.The soil was collected and transported in a 15mL conical tube. The sample was directly transported from the flower bed to the laboratory.
