Discovery NotesThis phage was isolated from the plant Impatiens pallida and collected by Dr. Tia-Lynn Ashman. The plant was washed with PYCa, filtered, and then enriched with host at 30 degrees Celsius. Purification and amplification was completed by Kira Zack.
Naming NotesBalsa comes from the family to which Impatiens pallida belongs- Balsamaceae.
