Discovery NotesI got my soil sample from a flower bed near Memorial Union.
The depth of the sample was 4 inches from the surface and the ambient temperature was 53 degrees Fahrenheit. I performed direct Isolation with Plaque assay and found turbid (lysogenic) plaques.
Naming NotesI names my phage "BonBon". It means candy in French. I named my phage after that because I think that phages look like lollipops and I liked the name as well.
