Discovery NotesI collected the soil sample from the dry clay-like soil found under a steam output pipe connected to Robeson Hall on Virginia Tech's campus. The soil sample was collected 2 centimeters deep in the soil on August 29th, 2017 at 10:01 A.M.
Naming NotesI named this phage Caarimon, after the steamy, gas planet in the Outer Rim of the Star Wars universe since my soil sample was taken from the soil under a steam vent on Virginia Tech's campus.
