Discovery NotesNotes: Found in the Lewis Annex Garden in Dahlonega, Georgia. The soil was dry and not compact.
It was the color of Georgia clay.
Naming NotesConchy is a tribute to Jimmy Buffett, his Coral Reefer band, the Parrotheads, and the rest of South Floridians (my home). Note that Conchy is pronounced “Conky”.

Plaque NotesThis is the isolated phage plaques. They are uniform and show similar features with each other. The plaques have a donut like appearance. It is completely clear on the inside and foggy on the edges. The clearing is not necessarily centered but not on the edge. The foggy area dissipates into the bacteria lawn and into the clearing. Although far away it looks like a fine line, the beginning and end of the foggy area ambiguous. The plaque size is .2 cm on web plates.
