Discovery NotesThe phage sample was collected on September 12th, 2016 in front of the Howard sign on 4th and Bryant Street. The soil lays behind a layer of mulch and the soil sample was collected underneath the layer of mulch and 2.5 centimeter beneath the top soil. This area is a high traffic area with both drivers and pedestrians and a large tree is situated directly behind the sign. Lastly, the air temperature was 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
Naming NotesMy oldest nephew Da'Mari is held close to my heart and so, I decided to name my phage after him. Because my nephew is so close to me and I hold things that are dear to my heart, such as my famliy, close to me, naming my phage DaMari pays homeage to him and shows how invested I am with this research.
