Discovery NotesMy sample was collected in Pittsburgh, PA; Latitude: 40.4445 Longitude: -79.9526. The area that I collected my sample from was in the lawn around the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh. The collection was from an area of bushes near a pathway. The soil was quite moist and dark in color so I believe that it will be a good candidate for this experiment. The temperature was around 76 degrees fahrenheit at the time of collection (around 12pm EST) with a slight breeze. The soil was collected to be used for the 2pm lab time.
