Discovery NotesMy phage was collected on August 31st, 2016 at 8:47am near train tracks. It was about 75 degrees Fahrenheit. My sample was a water sample and the water was still, it was a black/green color, and was filled with insects and floating debris. It had a very foul smell, I could not collect the sample without holding my breath. When I was using the pipette to collect the water, I was having a very hard time getting water because there was so much debris in the water. I ended up getting little worms in my sample since they were so small and got into the pipette.
Naming NotesI got the name "THESIX" because it is the nickname of one of the cities I really like. It comes from Toronto. The area code for Toronto is 416 but many people just call it the six. I have always liked that name and it sounds really cool when talking about my phage.

Plaque NotesMy plaques all had a bullseye shape when incubated for 48 hours or more. However, it was really weird. The bullseye was sort of fuzzy but the actual spot in the middle was very clear. When the plates were incubated for 24 hours, the shape was different. They just looked like small little plaques, no bullseye shape which is odd.
