Discovery NotesThe soil sample was found near a trash can under bushes. It had quite a bit of sand in the sample as well. It was about four inches deep when compared to the surface as soon as the sun came up. The sample was very wet when gathered due to the morning dew. The soil was very dark (almost black) and quite dense.
Naming NotesGrowing up, Greek mythology fascinated me. My favorite character was Elpis, the spirit of Hope from Pandora's Box. The K comes from my Mom's first initial, K, because she gives me hope to continue on and persevere.
