Discovery NotesIt was a cold 39 degrees Fahrenheit on 02/06/2018 around 8:40am when we collected a soil sample under a dead, red fern under a tree near the door to the college campus on the west side. The climate and the season resulted in an semi-arid soil sample.
Naming NotesAs a result of the soils location under a fern and decomposing matter, we named our sample "Fernilicious" because it was, indeed, fernilicious.
