| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected on August 27, 2012 at 9:30 pm. The depth of the soil was 4.0 cm. Since it rained earlier that day the soil was a bit moist. The sample was taken from an urban area. It was taken 5-7 feet from cement and major roads. The area was not sloped and it was facing the east direction. |

There were many steps that needed to be repeated because the phage was difficult to isolate. After much patience and hard work, the phage was finally successfully isolated. |
