Discovery NotesFound in front of an on campus apartment high rise near my dorm building. The planter in front of building was growing Iris flowers that I hadn't seen anywhere campus, so I decided that the soil sample might be unique as well.
Naming NotesI was pledging a fraternity at the time I was isolating my phage. The nickname for my fraternity is Fiji. I also liked the alliteration of the phrase Fiji Phage.
