Discovery NotesFlayvin was found Behind The Johnson Science Tower building on the Hattiesburg campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. The site contained relatively dry soil packed under a blanket of dead leaves near a small tree. The depth of the location where Flayvin was found was 10.5 cm. The weather was warm and mildly humid when the sample was collected.
Naming Notes“Flayvin” is a gibberish word uttered by the Jerry Lewis-inspired mad scientist character on The Simpsons, Professor John Nerdelbaum Frink Jr.
