Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected by Mary Morcos, I adopted the bag with the soil from her. It was collected near Chevron Science Center, at the University of Pittsburgh on an extremely rainy and cold day at around 1:00 pm.The condition of the soil was extremely moist with chunks of crumbled dirt. The soil sample was a dark black/brown color . An area, where the soil sample was collected was full of a lot of trees, small bushes, fallen leaves, and mulch.
Naming NotesI named my phage in honor of my grandmother, and put 2000 as the year of my birth. So, the name of the phage reflects the value of my relationship with my granny.
