Discovery NotesWe discovered the phage at a yard waste drop-off/pickup facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The sample was collected in a compost pile about 5cm deep on September 7, 2017. It was 65° F and was a humid day.
Naming NotesWe named our phage Joe because we found our phage in a compost site and decided to name it after the movie character Joe Dirt.
