Discovery NotesI found the phage by extracting soil from the surface of an area that had decaying leaves, branches, and plants. The phage was very easy to grow and took between 24-48 hours. The plaques were large and easy to see even though it was turbid. I never had trouble purifying or growing the plaques.
Naming NotesThe name came from a mountain I hike last summer in Georgia. I hiked over ten mountains that week, but this one was the most biologically diverse one I saw.
