Discovery NotesWe discovered our phage through a soil sample taken near Lake Arthur on Gonzaga University's campus. The soil itself was somewhat wet and dark in color indicating moisture that could have been transferred over from the lake. We decided to take our sample from this spot since other groups had success with their soil samples and we figured the likelihood of finding a phage in a soil sample near a lake would be higher than elsewhere.

Plaque NotesOur plaques were approximately 1 to 2 mm in size. They were uniform and similar in shape with being symmetric and round. They were all temperate.
After receiving our TEM images, the images showed that the capsids were symmetric and round, with an approximate size of 58.33 nm or 0.7 cm. Our tail measured at 300 nm or 3.6 cm in length. The total length of our phage was 366.66 nm or 4.4 cm.
