Discovery NotesIt was sunny and the soil was collected near a campus building where there was lots of trees, flowers, and other plants. With a spoon, I first loosened the soil and then I filled a 5ml tube with soil sample. The soil was moist and had some mulch in it.

Lysogeny NotesThe plaques were clear, lytic plaques that were well scattered about the plate without lysing the entire plate. However, the higher the number of phage present, the more turbid the plaques became and the more the phage lysed the plate.
