Discovery NotesThe soil was collected from Schenley plaza and it was very dry and dusty. There was not a lot of nearby vegetation except for some leafy, green bushes and some trees. The weather outside was sunny, hot (88 degrees Fahrenheit) and very humid.
Naming NotesThe plaque is named Nyla because the name means winner, which is appropriate for this phage since its plaques show a variety of different sizes and shapes.
