Discovery NotesCollected from a patch of mud. It was a very soft and watery mud that had a sort of wet-clay look to it, and it was from a flat surface within a foot of a sidewalk and on the edge of a lawn of grass. The soil was a very yellowy color.
Naming NotesThe name was inspired by the disease-fighting amoeba, Osmosis Jones, from the TV show of the same name.
