Discovery NotesSoil Sample from classmate Cassandra Ellis. We went to a horse farm and collected soil from the horse waste. Before collecting the soil, we researched where Rhodococcus globerulus grew best, and found that horses with disease produced manure that the bacteria could thrive in, and the horse farm produced these results.
Naming NotesThe phage is named Pherris, after the main character in my favorite movie, Ferris Bueller.
