Discovery NotesFound under a large tree near the Mattin Center on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus. The area was free from foot traffic and the soil sample was dry. The air temperature on August 28th at 1:05 PM when the sample was collected was 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
Naming NotesThe phage name is a portmanteau of the words phage and festive because it is nearing the holiday season and this bacteriophage is a festive gift for the holiday season.
