Discovery NotesI discovered this phage outside of the AMR II dorms on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University. The sample where this phage was discovered was taken on a hot day in the urban area of Baltimore. The soil was dry and was taken at a depth of 4 cm. Finally, the dirt came from the divide between grass and bushes plus also sees quite a bit of foot traffic.
Naming NotesI named my phage SarahPhalin because of my phages similarity to the politician Sarah Palin. They are very cloudy and mysterious, just like her beliefs and reasoning abilities. Furthermore, they caused me a lot of problems just like she causes constantly. I believe my phage is unique like Sarah Palin.
