Discovery NotesBacteriophage SoySauce was isolated from a soil sample collected 3 inches deep in the surface outside of Seton Hill University’s science center, Boyle. It was collected adjacent to the sidewalk where mulch, weeds, and leaf debris resided. As for the temperature, it was a fairly cool and windy morning, approximately 44°F (7.0°C). The soil was closely-packed and dry.
Naming NotesSoy sauce is a great condiment used on Chinese food and the name was fitting because who doesn't love Soy sauce?
