Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected entirely in a clean plastic bag at approximately 10:30 on Monday January 23, 2017 with a temperature of 46°F. The soil was collected from a flower pot, and the soil was very moist, full of organic matter, and collected approximately 2 inches below the surface.
Naming NotesI named this phage with the help of my mother by considering the location of its origin. The soil sample was collected from a flower pot area, and plants sprout out of the ground, so Sproutie did too.
