Discovery NotesThe soil sample which I isolated my phage from was taken from the corner of a parking lot, where a significant amount of leaf litter and other debris. There had been some rain recently, so the debris was somewhat moist.
Naming NotesI named my phage SultanOFScree, indicating that the phage is ruler of his turf by giving him the title of Sultan. Scree is a word used to describe the piles of rock and rubble present at the base of mountains or cliffs. In the case of my phage however, scree refers to the accumulation of rocks, rubble, and leaf litter in the corner of a parking lot. Therefore, SultanOFScree.
