Discovery NotesSoil was collected from high organic matter from the UNLV Rebel Recycling center. The soil was rocky and moist in its texture, with the depth of collection being at 7 cm. The compaction of the soil was loose. The surrounding environment from which the soil was collected was hot in weather due to the 90% humidity.
Naming NotesAloha702 was named based on the childhood homes of the discoverers. Tiannah Ohta had lived in Hawaii for most of her life, and Aloha is how you say hello in that state. The 702 refers to the area code for Las Vegas, in which both Marv and Tiannah currently reside in.
