Discovery NotesThe soil sample that BRabbit was found in was collected on September 9th, 2015 near a compost pile and under a tree. The temperature was 75 degrees Fahrenheit and I dug 4 centimeters into the soil before collecting.
Naming NotesI named my phage 'BRabbit' after a character in my favorite anime, Pandora Hearts. In the anime, B is a "chain" which needs a contractor in order to display and use their powers. I related this to how a phage needs a host in order to be displayed, so I named her BRabbit. I also had the largest phage in the class, and in the show, B is the main character.
