Discovery NotesThe dirt sample was located in the parking lot of an Arby's in the Soho district of Birmingham. The dirt was collected at approximately 5 cm in depth from a dry and rocky environment. The temperature at collection was 32 degrees Celsius. Abby received many strange looks from various people driving past.
Naming NotesAt a tailgate for SustainUAB (a student organization), our friend, Kinnsley, brought an inflatable dragon named "Baby Blaze" she bought at a local carnival. This phage is named in honor of him.
