Discovery NotesI took this phage from soil (on 07/18/15) that had been dumped full of water that killed most life that went into it. (i.e. Frogs, small animals, no algae growth despite sitting for 2 years). The temperature was 99 degrees Fahrenheit, and the soil sample was very hard packed and dry.
Naming NotesThe reasoning behind naming this phage “CheerUpSwapan” was so that it might help bring some cheer into Swapan Bhuiyan’s life.
