Discovery NotesWhere we collected our sample (Red Sands) there was a small pond with tadpoles and frogs. We collected the sample from the edge of the pond where the sand is muddy, the consistency was like clay. The sample was taken from 3-1/4 inches deep. That day it was sunny outside (about 98º)and most of the area around the small pond was dry, and only a small tree nearby.
