Discovery NotesThe environmental sample was obtained from a flower bed outside of the Cathedral of Learning on the campus of University of Pittsburgh. At the time that this environmental sample was collected, it was raining and the temperature was about 65° Fahrenheit. The soil appeared to be dark in texture and muddy.
Cordatus0216  was discovered through the process of direct isolation. It was plated on Gordonia Terrae and PYCa and was incubated for about 48 hours at 30 degrees Celsius.
