Discovery NotesAn environmental soil sample was retrieved on September 18, 2022 from the enriched, soft, moist, topsoil layer of a riverbank at an ambient temperature of 20°C. The sample was retrieved from the Chapman Mills Conservation Area in Ottawa, Canada (45º27'79.4"N, 75º70'24.8"W), beside the Rideau River.
Naming NotesMy pet cat, Cosette, was adopted from an animal rescue in 2015. The day we adopted her, she was barely the size of my hand. Cosette was named after a character in the 1862 novel Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, the orphaned child of an unmarried mother, full of hopeful innocence and subtle strength, who aims to ultimately achieve happiness in her life.
