| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was taken from a shaded corner of a cow pasture. The area was about two feet away from a pine tree, so the soil had an abundance of decomposing organic material. It was also pretty moist due to the frequent rain in August and the lack of extended direct sunlight exposure. |
| Naming Notes | The name of this phage is from the May 2017 tweet by the 45th president of the United States. The name of this phage came about because when I told people about phages, they thought I was making up a word. Therefore, I named my phage after an actual made up word tweeted by Donald Trump that has become very recognizable. I also now have the ability to say that I discovered covfefe, because I technically did. |
