Discovery NotesThis Phage was found on 9/5/15. I collected my soil sample from a flower bed in Milwaukee,WI over Labor Day weekend. The soil sample was transported back to Atlanta,GA via airplane. Using cluster specific PCR primers indicated that Ezembofyte is in cluster G.
Naming NotesI chose Ezembo because my last name is Ezemba and I wanted my name associated with my phage. I chose the ending fyte because it sounded scientific.
