Discovery Notes Phage was isolated from a soil sample collected under the surface of a neighborhood drainage pond. There were two or three inches of water above the bank of the pond that I took the sample from; there was water mixed in with the soil. The soil was light brown in color, and the water was slightly murky. The weather outside at the time of collection was sunny, warm, and relatively dry.
