Discovery NotesTuesday morning before our class on Wednesday I went outside my dorm building to find some soil to be able to use. It was in a dirt patch near a couple of bushes and the soil was decently moist. To get my sample I dug slightly under the dirt about an inch to get the sample that I got our phage from.
Naming NotesOur first idea as a name for our phage was shut down because it did not follow all of the naming rules that were provided for us at the beginning of the class. Instead on my sweatshirt I was wearing it said the word schwifty, which is from a new television show called Rick and Morty so we decided that we needed a name badly and that we would roll with what we had.
