Discovery NotesThe soil sample that the phage was collected near a small creek. The soil was away from the bank to avoid the clay about 2 inches into the ground. The creek is located near a house. The property is a farm located about 10 miles away from a larger river.
Naming NotesWhile looking at the phage with EM it was noted that it had a sticky head. Also, it was mentioned that you should treat your phage as your precious baby. I have a dog that is nick-named Goobi because she always has boogers in her eyes. Thus, I found the name a good match for the phage.
