Discovery NotesThe bacteriophage sample was found in a public garden, moist (rained night before), 3-8cm of depth, soil had little vegetation growing from sample spot.

The head has a diameter of 55.9 x 57.8 nm. The tail measures 248.8nm in length.
Naming NotesThe name comes from the scifi novel's ("Flight of the Eisenstein") minor antagonist, Commander Grulgor. A member of Horus' Heresy against the Emperor of Mankind. Commander Grulgor's attempted to launch a Life-eating virus against loyal forces on Instvaan III, he was stopped by Captian Garro, resulting in Commander Grulgor's initial death. While traveling in the warp, Nurgle god of entropy, gave new life to Grulgor. Captain Garro and Commander Grulgor faced each other one final time.
