Discovery NotesFound in Leaf pile compost in woods of Worcester, MA. The collected soil was suspended in liquid media, incubated, and filtered. The resulting supernatant was seeded with the host 'M. foliorum'. The samples were plated and checked for plaques presence using different serial dilutions of the sample. The resulting plaques were picked, resuspended in phage buffer, and plated for purification. The phage samples were then amplified to obtain a sufficient titer by continuously flooding webbed plates.
