Discovery NotesThe soil sample was provided to my group by an elementary class that collected samples to be tested as a class project. The sample that obtained phage after direct plating was performed belonged to a child by the name of Hansol. The soil sample was obtained from a West Lafayette Elementary with approximate GPS coordinates of 40.42 N and 86.9 W. The sample had the texture of solid dirt, so it was very dry and solid. The air temperature, date, and time of collection is unknown.
Naming NotesThe sample was named after myself and the elementary student who collected the soil sample. I took part of each of our names and combined them.
